Catalyst Medical Group is hosting its free, annual sports physical event for local student-athletes. The event will be held on May 21 from 5 to 7 p.m., and it is open to all student-athletes. Sports physicals will be provided at no cost to walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis; appointments are not available. The event will be held at the group’s Lewiston Orthopedics office in Lewiston at 320 Warner Drive.
Prevention is key to safe participation in sports. Sports physicals by the specialty-trained providers at Lewiston Orthopedics offer a proactive approach by evaluating previous injuries, setting concussion baselines and identifying any conditions that could predispose athletes to injury, illness or life-threatening events.
Additional details for the sports physical event:
- Available to student-athletes of all ages, including grades six through 12 and college.
- Parent/guardian must be present with minor students.
- Bring sports physical forms to the physical.
- Students must wear shorts and a T-shirt.
If a student wears glasses or contacts, they are required to wear them to the physical.
